An apparatus of inspecting press-fit of a valve seat and a method thereof are provided to check whether a valve seat is fitted into a cylinder head at proper load and depth automatically by using measured press-fit load and depth of a cylinder shaft. An apparatus of inspecting press-fit of a valve seat comprises a cylinder shaft(10), a press-fit load measuring sensor(20), a first block(40), a second block(60), a hydraulic cylinder(50) and a controller(70). The cylinder shaft forces a valve seat supplied from the outside into a cylinder head. The press-fit load measuring sensor measures a load for allowing the cylinder shaft to force the valve seat into the cylinder head. The first block is mounted with the cylinder shaft at one end, and with the press-fit load measuring sensor at the other end. The second block is connected to the other end of the first block mounted with the press-fit load measuring sensor. The hydraulic cylinder checks whether the seat valve is fitted into the cylinder head in proper load and depth.
