A transmission output control apparatus, a multi-carrier transmission system, a transmission output control method, and a computer-readable recording medium recording a transmission output control program are provided to restrain the transmission output of a signal in a frequency band which reduces the transmission rate of a communication apparatus in the frequency band which includes a higher range than an operation frequency band used by the communication apparatus, and output the signal to a communication line, thereby preventing noise in a higher frequency band than the operation frequency band used in the communication apparatus on an adjacent line and avoiding the reduction of the transmission rate of the communication apparatus. A transmission output control apparatus comprises a memory unit(104,204) and a control unit(103,203). The memory unit stores at least one frequency band which reduces the transmission rate of a communication apparatus on an adjacent line adjacent to a communication line and includes a higher range than an operation frequency band used by the communication apparatus. The control unit restrains the transmission output of a signal in the frequency band and outputs the signal to the communication line.
