The invention relates to an air circulation device for a motor vehicle passenger compartment comprising at least one rigid hollow cross member (1) for reinforcing the vehicle structure and an air distribution duct (2), wherein said device is characterised in that said cross member (1) is provided with a hollow section (1a) and a tubular section (1b) which are interconnected by a connecting piece (1c) fitting the shapes of the parts (1a, 1b) of the cross member (1) and assuring the rigidity of said assembly.
