A limit switch operating mechanism for a vacuum die casting equipment is provided to obtain simple structure and assembling workability by reducing the number of parts, effectively reduce interference with various peripheral parts by reducing the occupying volume and relatively reducing the movement range, and secure highly reliable operability although the mechanism is repeatedly used. In a limit switch operating mechanism for operating two limit switches(9) fixed to the die casting mold side to limit the straight sliding amount of the bracket when straightly sliding a bracket(5) installed on a die casting mold(1) using a hydraulic cylinder(7), a limit switch operating mechanism(2) for a vacuum die casting equipment(3) comprises: a fixed part(11) fixed to the bracket; a length extension part(13) extending along the straight sliding direction of the bracket from the fixed part; and an operation part(15) which is projected in the direction perpendicular to the straight sliding direction of the bracket from an end portion of the length extension part such that the two limit switches can be operated by thickness of a projected portion of the operation part in accordance with the straight sliding direction of the bracket, wherein the fixed part, the length extension part, and the operation part are integrally formed.
