A rubber composition for snow tire treads is provided to prevent a drop in the temperature of tire treads at low temperature, thereby maintaining wear resistance and improving braking performance on a snowy road. A rubber composition for snow tire treads comprises: 100 parts by weight of base rubber; and 1-25 parts by weight of microcapsules containing a phase transition material. The microcapsule is formed of at least one cell and the phase transition material forms a core inside the cell. The phase transition material has a condensation point of -5.5 to 40 deg.C and includes at least one compound selected from the group consisting of n-paraffin, cyclic paraffin and aromatic-containing paraffin compounds. |
