A continuously variable transmission for a vehicle is provided to improve lubricating and cooling efficiency of forward and reverse clutches by supplying a lubricant to each clutch through a separate passage. A forward clutch(20) is installed in a body(10), and is operated by a forward piston(21). A reverse clutch(30) is installed in the body, and is operated by a reverse piston(31). A cover(11) is installed on one side of the body, and a lubricant channel(12) is formed on center portion of the body and cover, through which a lubricant flows to supply lubricate and cool the forward and reverse clutches. A lubricant pipe(40) is installed in the lubricant channel, and has one end inserted into a driving pulley shaft and the other end extended along the channel to supply the lubricant to the forward and reverse clutches.
