A conveyed material conveying apparatus and an image forming apparatus are provided to enable a part of a conveyance path to be constituted by a plate-shaped member in a conveying unit and enable the plate-shaped member to be detachably installed to a part except the plate-shaped member of a position determination unit, thereby reusing the position determination unit conveniently. A conveying unit includes a conveyance path for conveying conveyed material, and a position determination unit(8) includes a position determination member and a plate-shaped member(84). The position determination member determines and holds the components of an image forming apparatus. The plate-shaped member is operated as a part of the conveyance path and is detachably installed to the position determination unit. The plate-shaped member has a protruding portion on the surface. The protruding portion is protruded towards the conveyed material which passes through the conveyance path from the plate-shaped member.
