A device and a method for transforming a movement signal are provided to remove noise with a filter, which is differently applied to the movement signal of a detected pointer according to a moving speed of the pointer, thereby controlling movement of a pointer according to a user intention. A movement detector(210) detects movement and a determiner(220) determines a type of a movement signal received by the detected movement. A filtering unit(240) transforms the movement signal detecting at least one of angular speed and acceleration of the movement by using a filter having a frequency band corresponding to the type of the movement signal among a plurality of filters. A transmitter(250) transmits the transformed movement signal.
