METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR 3D STILL IMAGE SERVICE OVER DIGITAL BROADCASTING

A method and an apparatus for providing a 3D(Three Dimensional) still image service based on digital broadcasting are provided to be easily utilized to provide a 3D advertisement, 3D educational data, 3D instant message service, etc., in diverse broadcasting media. A reference image constituting a 3D still image and a 3D supplementary image are received together with a 2D image via a data channel or a video channel(401). The received reference image and the 3D supplementary image are restored to the 3D still images(402). The 3D still images are displayed at a particular interval according to display information including a reproduction time point and a reproduction mode during digital AV broadcasting using the 2D images(403).
