#CMT# #/CMT# The device (10) has a set of vertical separators (12) supporting a maintaining profile (14) extending horizontally and at a distance above a shelf (E), where each separator is formed in the form of a plate. The separator has a lower edge (16) resting on the shelf, and a rear edge (18) including a through opening (20) to constitute a detent unit that co-operates with the maintaining profile. Each of the separators is arranged in a chosen position along the profile for defining compartments (C1-Cn) with variable width. The lower edge has a friction stop made of rubber. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Device for sorting files in vertical position on a shelf in a storage furniture e.g. storage or filing cabinet. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The maintaining profile is supported only by the vertical separators, so that an autonomous and monoblock assembly formed by the profile and the separators can be placed in a chosen position on the shelf. The sorting device ensures detent engagement of the separators on the maintaining profile, thus allowing the modification of the number and position of the separators as desired, and hence ensuring easy removal/addition and displacement of one or several separators without requiring displacement of the other separators.
