A side gutter for preventing the slide of gravel for a railroad is provided to prevent the loss of gravel at railway ballast by installing a gravel-stop block and a side gutter integrally at railway ballast, and to prevent the subsidence of roadbed by draining off infiltration caused by snow or rain. A side gutter for preventing the slide of gravel comprises side gutter bodies(10) installed to two sides of a railway parallel to each other to prevent the loss of a gravel layer of railway ballast composed of a railway sleeper, a rail, a gravel layer, reinforced roadbed, a drain layer and the ground and to drain off infiltration caused by snow or rain, a side gutter cover(20) coupled to the inner top of the side gutter body to prevent the loss of the gravel layer and to drain off infiltration, and an ecological ladder(30) coupled to the outer top of the side gutter body to fix and support the side gutter cover at the appointed angle to function as an ecological passage.
