A ribbon cartridge of a printer is provided to improve printing quality by preventing a ribbon from being damaged by impact of a head pin. A ribbon cartridge of a printer comprises a transfer roller, a guide roller(50), a ribbon storage part(60), and a tension spring(70). The transfer roller is rotated by a driving shaft for transferring a ribbon. The guide roller interlocks with the transfer roller, and elasticity thereof is adjusted by a spring. The tension spring holds tension during transfer of a ribbon, when the ribbon stored in the ribbon storage part of the cartridge is transferred as impact by a head pin of the printer is applied.
