#CMT# #/CMT# The iron has a body connected to a power supply cord (3) provided with a cord guiding device (5). The guiding device provides an orientation to the cord at an exit of the body and includes a piece in form of arch (50) supporting the cord. The arch is articulated on the body of the iron by its ends and is pivotingly assembled between a folded position in which the arch is integrated in the body and a deployed position in which the arch is spaced from the body. The cord penetrates in the arch at an opening receiving a flexible cord reinforcement (8). #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Iron. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The arch in its deployed position permits the cord guiding device to transport the exit of the cord towards the rear of the iron, thus avoiding the cord from contacting an arm of a user, when the user holds the iron by a handle and avoiding the cord from rubbing on an edge of a ironing table or on the linen during ironing. The cord guiding device permits the exit of the cord in a longitudinal axis of the iron, so that the iron is used with the same ergonomics by a right handed person and a left handed person.
