A web storage service system using an HMC(Home Multimedia Center) and a method thereof are provided to reduce storage construction costs of a web service provider and to enable a client to use the web storage service at a low cost by using the HMC of a subscriber instead of a storage medium of the web storage service provider. A service server(30) is connected with an HMC(10) and a computer terminal(40) through the internet, or is connected with an mobile communication terminal device(70) through the wireless internet network via a WAP gateway(60). The service server provides a user interface. An internet WEB browser is installed in each computer terminal. The mobile terminal device such as a PDA(Personal Digital Assistants), a PMP(Portable Multimedia Player), a PSP(Play Station Portable) and an HPC(Handled PC) is connected with the service server by installing the WAB(Wireless Application Protocol) browser through the wireless internet network. The HMC comprises a communication method having a multimedia reproducing unit and a communication unit, and the multimedia file is displayed on a TV(50).
