A package type compressor is provided to allow cold wind to efficiently be flown into the package of the compressor such that the cooling efficiency of the compressor body is improved and operating noise is reduced. A package type compressor comprises a package(1) having a soundproof construction, an electric motor disposed in the package, a main body of the compressor(12) having a compressing part and a cooling fan, and a cold wind guide(26) installed along the outside of the main body. The package is provided with an air intake port(8), which is disposed on the lateral side of the cold wind guide, to introduce the outdoor air into the package. The air introduced through the air intake port enters into a cold wind inlet(30) formed on an end of the cold wind guide via the periphery of the main body.
