A seek control method, a seek control device and a medium storage device are provided to prevent current step difference, noise and residual vibrations when seek control is switched into following control, without influencing characteristics of a seek control system. A method for performing seek control of an object to a target position(Lseek) with an actuator comprises the steps of: calculating the difference between the target position and the current position of the object; performing seek control according to the position difference; switching into following control when reaching close to the target position is detected; and performing following control, wherein performing the following control comprises the steps of generating a target trajectory(r(n)) based on the difference between a control current in seek control before switching and a control current in following control after switching, and performing following control by two degree of freedom current observer control, according to the target trajectory and position difference.
