<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an abnormal image from appearing in the print results and to prevent print speed from lowering even if retransmission of data takes place due to communication error during data transfer between storage devices. <P>SOLUTION: After transferring color data of a plurality of colors stored in an RAM 14 and read out one by one to an HDD 3 and storing the color data in the HDD 3, an ASIC 11 transfers each color data stored in the HDD 3 and read out one by one to the RAM 14 and stores the color data in the RAM 14. When each color data thus stored is transferred to an engine 5 and a color image based on each color data is printed on a recording sheet, quantity of each color data is measured and stored when each color data is transferred from the RAM 14 to the HDD 3, predicted transfer time required for transferring each color data from the HDD 3 to the RAM 14 is determined based on the quantity of each color data thus stored, and transfer start of each color data from the RAM 14 to the engine 5 is controlled based on the predicted transfer time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
