PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioning unit, and an outdoor unit for an air conditioner capable of improving maintenance performance of the air conditioning unit in comparison with a conventional one. SOLUTION: An outdoor machine 2 of the air conditioner 1 comprises a first heat exchanging portion 21, a second heat exchanging portion 22 and a third heat exchanging portion 23. The second heat exchanging portion 22 and the third heat exchanging portion 23 have a length in the height direction, shorter than that of the first heat exchanging portion 21, and disposed at a front side with respect to the heat exchanging portion 21. The heat exchanging portions (first heat exchanging portion 21, second heat exchanging portion 22 and third heat exchanging portion 23) are respectively disposed approximately in the N-shape in a side view.
