PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of increasing the suction amount of air by reducing resistance to suction air while reducing a space for operating a dust collector to contribute to miniaturization of a body. SOLUTION: The air conditioner is constituted by providing an air filter 4 and a ventilating fan 6 at the body comprising a front panel 1a and a top face grille 1b with a suction bar, providing the front face of the air filter 4 with the dust collector 7 reciprocated along the surface of the air filter 4, and opening/closing the top face grille 1b following the reciprocating motion of the dust collector 7, wherein clearances a, b forming air passages are formed between the front end of the top face grille and the upper end of the front panel.
