<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing system and a printing method capable of determining automatically a printing job to be preferentially executed and executing printing, when the number of print permitted sheets requested exceeds an upper limit of the number of print permitted sheets. <P>SOLUTION: This printing system/method is provided with user terminals, printers, a manager terminal and a print control server connected respectively to a network, and the upper limit value of the number of print permitted sheets is set in each of the users in the printing system/method. The print control server 5 is provided with a printing sheet number calculation means 13 for calculating the number of printable sheets, based on a residual number of print permitted sheets in the user and a printing number of sheets in a plurality of print job requests from the user, and a print job determination means 14 for determining automatically the print job preferentially executed when the number of printable sheets is short. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
