<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a redundant method for a network being capable of using a box type switch as medium switching equipment extended for increasing the number of ports for upper switching equipment, being capable of having a redundant function and requiring no set change for an existing device and the medium switching equipment. <P>SOLUTION: The upper switching equipment and lower switching equipment are connected by setting link aggregations to the ports of the same port number for a pair of the medium switching equipment, and a pair of the medium switching equipment are connected mutually by the port for a redundancy. When the port connected to the lower switching equipment gets a trouble in either one of a pair of the medium switching equipment, the input port information of a frame at the place of the troubled port is added to the frame and transferred from the port for the redundancy to the other of a pair of the medium switching equipment, and the frame is transferred according to the input port information added to the frame received from the port for the redundancy in the other of a pair of the medium switching equipment. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
