PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein operating mode setting conditions cannot be changed, for prior to shipment and after shipment of products, in the conventional settings for operating modes. SOLUTION: This semiconductor integrated circuit is equipped with a rewritable nonvolatile memory, an operation mode setting terminal to which an operation mode setting signal is to be input, and a first counter for performing counting operation, on the basis of the operation setting signal. The nonvolatile memory stores a first pulse number set value, and switching of operation mode is executed, when the counted value of the first counter and the first pulse number set value agree.
