PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly safe cleansing cosmetic which exhibits mild actions on skin, has good compatibility with oil stains and excellent make-up removing effects without a slimy feeling after washing off and is cleanly washed off. SOLUTION: The cleansing cosmetic comprises an alkyl glycoside, a nonionic surfactant, a fatty acid which is liquid at normal temperature or a salt thereof and a water-soluble high polymer. The nonionic surfactant has 4.0-9.5 value of HLB (hydrophile-lypophile balance) and is liquid or pasty at normal temperature. The water-soluble high polymer is selected from the group consisting of a cross-linkable type polyacrylic high polymer, a cellulosic high polymer and a polysaccharides high polymer.
