PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a space required for positioning a base to which a sensor is fixed while maintaining the accuracy of the mounting positions of a transmission part and a receiving part. SOLUTION: This base position adjusting tool comprises a first positioning member 81 positioned, by fitting into an opening 41A, relative to a first base 41 on which a transmitter 38 for outputting ultrasonic wave to a receiver 39 is positioned by fitting it into the opening 41A; and a second positioning member 82 positioned, by fitting into an opening 42A, relative to a second base on which a receiver 39 for receiving the ultrasonic wave output by the transmitter 38 and positioned opposite to the transmitter 38 at an interval is positioned by fitting into the opening 42A.
