PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice washer which can wash rice while inhibiting crack or damage of rice and maintaining a palatability of the rice. SOLUTION: The rice washer is equipped with a container which has an opening in an end, a lid which detachably covers the opening of the container and has a water inlet which supplies water into the container, a rotatable driving member which projects into the container, an operating member which connects to the driving member and rotates the driving member, a rotary shaft which is installed in the container, detachably connects with the driving member and can rotate, and a plurality of impellers attached to the rotary shaft, then, at least one impeller among a plurality of impellers has the angle to the bottom of the container sequentially becoming larger from the most distant positions from the rotary shaft to the closest positions to the rotary shaft, at least one impeller among the plurality of impellers has the angle to the bottom of the container sequentially becoming larger from the closest positions to the rotary shaft to the most distant positions from the rotary shaft.
