PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance safety by stabilizing the insertion and removal and by preventing an excessive negative pressure in a trachea in an automatic phlegm aspirator which inserts and removes a phlegm aspiration tube by two rollers. SOLUTION: The insertion and removal operation is stabilized by the following manners: one roller forms a positive acute angle, and the other forms a negative acute angle in the direction of a normal line of a central axis of a phlegm aspiration tube insertion hole to give a feed and a rotation to the phlegm aspiration tube, an external wall surface of the phlegm aspiration tube is made to be rough to reduce the adsorption to a tracheal cannula, a V-shaped groove is engraved on a roller piece to increase drive force, a phlegm aspiration tube protecting tube is directly connected to a connection tube between an attachment part of the phlegm aspiration tube protecting tube of a phlegm aspiration tube driving mechanism and a suction source so that the phlegm aspiration tube freely moves and rotates inside the phlegm aspiration tube protecting tube, and the adsorption of the phlegm aspiration tube protecting tube to the phlegm aspiration tube is prevented by making an internal wall surface of the phlegm aspiration tube protecting tube rough and by providing a washing means for the inside of the phlegm aspiration tube protecting tube. The occurrence of the excessive negative pressure is prevented by providing a control means for opening and closing a check valve which opens when the inside of the trachea is at a negative pressure or a switch valve for the suction device.
