<p>The invention relates to a reductant for blast furnace charge containing: lump iron ore, sinter and/or pellets, slag-forming additives, advantageously limestone and reductants such as coke, coal, heavy oil, natural gas and plastics. According to the invention the reductant is characterized in that it is composed of crumbled rubber tyres of vehicles together with their metal cord used in the amount up to 150 kg for one metric ton of pig-iron, and the crumbled rubber tyres of vehicles together with their metal cord are used instead of coke in the amount of 25-40% of the amount of the coke intended to be used, while the rubber tyres together with their metal cord are crumbled to pieces of dimensions not exceeding 50 cm.</p> |
