PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clutch control device of a synchromesh automatic transmission capable of preventing heating by the creep control while avoiding backing of a vehicle when the vehicle is stopped on an upward slope. SOLUTION: The clutch control device has a control means 4 for changing the gear-shifting condition of a stepped transmission 3 based on detection signals of a brake switch 17, a range switch 14, an accelerator position sensor 13, and a vehicle speed sensor 8. The stepped transmission 3 comprises an electromagnetic clutch 2 for executing the transmission and cut-off of the power and the creep control at the start and the end of the gear-shift, and the control means 4 comprises a clutch control part for feeding exciting currents to the electromagnetic clutch 2. The clutch control part gradually reduces the indicated current value of the exciting currents from the value for the creep control to 0 A when the brake switch is off in the traveling range and if the condition when the indicated vehicle speed is 0 km/h continues at least for a prescribed period of time. |
