A sub-tail gate structure in a vehicle is provided to expand a trunk of the vehicle and preserve small freight conveniently by making an additional freight loading space between a sub-tail gate and a trim door. A sub-tail gate structure in a vehicle comprises a tail gate, a sub-tail gate, and upper and lower trims(14a,14b). The tail gate opens and closes a trunk located at the back of a rear seat. The sub-tail gate rotates up and down to open and close the trunk. The sub- tail gate pivots around a hinge. The sub-tail gate includes inner and outer panels. Both trims are attached to the inner panel of the sub-tail gate. A trim door(14c) is located between the upper and lower trims and makes a sub-freight loading space with the inner panel of the sub-tail gate. A protrusion is downwards formed at the bottom of the upper trim to hold the trim door when the trim door is closed.
