PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lifting device capable of making a lifting/lowering drive unit compact and of avoiding interference with a travelling drive unit. SOLUTION: The lifting device 20 is provided with the lifting/lowering drive unit 15 comprising a motor 11, a speed reducer 12 coaxially and directly connected to an output shaft 11a of the motor 11 and a lifting/lowering drive wheel 13 coaxially and directly connected to an output shaft 12a of the speed reducer 12.
