PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner which is easy to use by reducing the force to move/pull the body. SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner has the body 1 having a dust chamber 2 to collect dust and an electric blower 3, an electric travel unit 4 made up of an electric motor 5 and a travel roller 7 driven by the electric motor 5, installed in the lower portion of the body 1 and to make the body 1 travel, a travel castor 8 for traveling and a rotation sensing sensor 19 to sense the rotation of the travel rollers 7. When sensing the rotation of the travel roller 7 by the rotation sensing sensor 19, the cleaner energizes the electric blower 5 to drive the travel roller 7. By simply slightly moving the body 1, the traveling roller 7 rotates and permits the body 1 to be pulled around by a weak force. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
