A core voltage driver is provided to reduce current consumption by controlling the driving of the core voltage driver according to an operation mode as comprising a control part generating a control signal in correspondence to the operation mode. A core voltage active driver(110-113) provides a core voltage which is arranged in each bank. A control unit(130) provides a control signal corresponding to the number of data input/output bits to the core voltage active driver. The core voltage active driver is driven selectively by the control signal. The control unit includes a mode discrimination unit(132), a switching unit(134) and a driving unit(136). The mode discrimination unit discriminates a mode signal provided from the outside. The switching unit is controlled by the output of the mode discrimination unit. The driving unit outputs the control signal by driving the output of the switching unit.
