PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in a conventional image forming apparatus that all images may be formed on paper sheets in a portrait format in forming the images on the paper sheets in a landscape format normally and it takes time to form the images since the images are formed on the paper sheets in different formats in each set or each job and then discharged.

SOLUTION: When it is determined that both of a first paper feeder for feeding the paper sheet to be used for image formation in the portrait format and a second paper feeder for feeding the paper sheet in the landscape format are mounted on the image forming apparatus, image data to be formed on the first paper sheet to be used for the image formation are converted so that the image is formed on the paper sheet fed from the second paper feeder when the paper sheet is fed from the first paper feeder and are converted so that the image is formed on the paper sheet fed from the first paper feeder when the paper sheet is fed from the second paper feeder.
