<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of preventing a microprocessor adapted to process printing from being under a high-load condition in a printer that transmits or receives a logical packet to or from a client. <P>SOLUTION: This printer comprises a reception section for receiving a plurality of kinds of logical packets from a client, a hardware packet processing section for processing the logical packets in a hardware, a software packet processing section having a microprocessor for processing the logical packets in a software, and a sorting section for sorting the plurality of kinds of logical packets into the logical packets to be processed by the hardware packet processing section and the logical packets to be processed by the software packet processing section. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
