摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a permanent magnet synchronous motor drive system for a railway vehicle in which interlinkage flux is set so as to achieve the miniaturization and cost reduction of the system. <P>SOLUTION: This permanent magnet synchronous motor drive system is made up of a controller 11, an inverter 12, a permanent magnet synchronous motor 13, and a motor release contactor 14. The interlinkage flux of the synchronous motor 13 is set in such a way that no-load induced voltage of the motor at the time of motor revolutions corresponding to the maximum speed of the railway vehicle becomes 1.2 times or larger than and two times or smaller than the maximum voltage that can be outputted by the inverter 11, which supplies electric power to the synchronous motor 13. The controller 11 outputs the output voltage waveform of the inverter in pulse waveform at the time of the high speed revolutions of 2/3 of the maximum revolutions or larger. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
