<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a four-wheel drive controller in which a main driving wheel is driven by an engine, and a follow-driving wheel is driven by a motor, and a power generator driving the motor is driven by the engine for preventing the deterioration of the motor due to excessive power generation of the power generator. <P>SOLUTION: This four-wheel drive controller is provided with: a main driving wheel to be driven by the engine; a follow-driving wheel to be driven by the motor; the power generator to be driven by the engine for generating power to drive the motor; and a power generation control means for calculating a power generation control signal to control the electric energy of the power generator according to the traveling state of a vehicle.
