<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adequately transmit/intercept the rotational torque in a brake-side clutch. <P>SOLUTION: A clutch unit comprises a lever-side clutch provided at the input side to control the transmitting/intercepting the rotational torque to the output side by lever operation, and a brake-side clutch 12 provided at the output side to transmit input torque from the lever side clutch and intercept the reverse input torque from the output side. The brake-side clutch 12 is disposed in a wedge gap 28 between the inner peripheral surface of a brake side outer ring 22 and a cam surface 24a formed at the outside-diameter of an output shaft 24, and provided with a plurality of pairs of cylindrical rollers 25 to control transmitting/intercepting the rotational torque by engaging/disengaging in the wedge gap 28.
