PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil spring contact 30 capable of stably coming into elastic contact with a solder ball 34 arranged on a device 32 to be measured. SOLUTION: This coil spring contact 30 is interposed between a solder ball 34 arranged on a device 38 to be measured, and a flat contact pad 16 arranged on an inspecting tool 12 to electrically connect the solder ball 34 to the contact pad 16. In the coil spring contact, a coil axis is formed to be deflected toward the solder ball 34 at two parts at the central part; the coil spring contact is made to contact the solder ball 34 at positions on both sides of its top part in the two deflected parts; and the coil axes at both the ends are brought into contact with the contact pads 16 at parts deflected toward the contact pads 16.
