PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint structure of concrete slab pavements, which can absorb temperature-dependent expansion/contraction of concrete slabs adjacent to each other, and is proof against cavitation of an area under a joint caused by a pumping phenomenon. SOLUTION: According to the joint structure of the concrete slab pavements, the concrete slabs 3 are arranged side by side, and a pad slab 4 is laid under the joint between the concrete slabs 3 adjacent to each other. Then a cushioning slab 6 is arranged on the pad slab 4 between edges of the concrete slabs 3 adjacent to each other, and an expansion joint 7 is arranged between the cushioning slab 6 and each of the concrete slabs 3 adjacent to each other. Each concrete slab 3 and the cushioning slab 6 are fixed to the pad slab 4 by bolts 10, 11, respectively. Further bolt insertion holes 12 formed in each concrete slab 3 have a size that allows temperature-dependent expansion/contraction of the concrete slab 3. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
