PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the degree of freedom of attachment conditions of an operating device by improving the stability and operability of mounting of a turning operation knob on an operation panel, because the operability is insufficient without reference to a standing or sitting position, when the turning operation knob is provided on the operating device and the operating device is installed on the wall surface of a toilet room. SOLUTION: This operating device comprises: an operating portion body with the operation panel; the turning operation knob which has a turning shaft held in a through-hole position by the operation surface of the operation panel; a physical-quantity changing means for changing a physical quantity in accordance with turning of the turning operation knob on the side of the non-operation surface of the operation panel; and a plurality of locking mechanisms which are provided on the side of the fitting of the turning shaft of the turning operation knob into the physical-quantity changing means. The turning operation knob is passed through the through-hole which is provided in the operation panel, and held to transfer a turning motion by fitting the turning shaft of the turning operation knob into the physical-quantity changing means via the operation panel.
