PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide bulky polyester conjugated yarn having good stretchability and giving woven/knitted fabrics that are free of surface quality defects attributable to developing band-like spots or streak-like defects, have good surface quality and present moderate stretchability. SOLUTION: The bulky polyester conjugated yarn comprises a group of single yarns each with polyester components of different intrinsic viscosities mutually bonded in a side-by-side fashion. The conjugated yarn meets such requirements that the modified cross-section degree is 1.2-5.0, the ratio of the maximum modified cross-section degree to the minimum modified cross-section degree is 1-1.05, the stretch elongation percentage is 20-150%, the bulkiness is 71×10<SP>-3</SP>to 200×10<SP>-3</SP>m<SP>3</SP>/kg and the single yarn fineness is 0.2-3.0 dtex.
