PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an alloy wire rod for heat resistant spring in which the suppression of material cost is attained, an Fe based alloy wire is adopted therefor, further, high temperature oxidation is reduced even in a high temperature atmosphere exceeding 600°C, and further, stable thermal settling resistance can be obtained, and to obtain a heat resistant spring product using the alloy wire. SOLUTION: The alloy wire for heat resistant spring is composed of a precipitation hardening type Fe based alloy having a composition containing, by mass,≤0.10% C,≤1.00% Si,≤1.00% Mn, 30.0 to 45.0% Ni, 13.0 to 18.0% Cr, 0.40 to 1.20% Mo, 1.60 to 2.50% Al, 2.00 to 3.00% Ti and 0.50 to 2.00% Nb, and also satisfying both the conditions where the quantity (A) by Ni/(1.8Al+Ti+0.5Nb) is 3.5 to 8.0, and the quantity (B) by (Ti+0.5Nb)/1.8Al is 0.4 to 1.0, and the balance substantially Fe with inevitable impurities, and further has a tensile strength of 900 to 1,300N/mm<SP>2</SP>.
