PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper sheet conveyance mechanism and a printer device capable of easily and surely detecting and correcting the tilt of a paper sheet to be printed with the usage of a detection means in a simple and small structure and comprising a small number of sensors. SOLUTION: This paper sheet conveyance mechanism and the printer device are provided with a first paper sheet sensor 1 for determining a printing start position of the paper sheet 5, and a second paper sheet sensor 2 existing in a conveyance passage 12 before and during printing. Before printing, the paper sheet is conveyed along the conveyance passage, and a tilt amount with respect to the paper sheet conveyance direction is calculated by the difference between detection timing of the first paper sheet sensor and the second paper sheet sensor.
