ALLODYNIA INDUCING METHOD AND EVALUATION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To establish a method for evaluating zoster-relating pain with an animal in a more clinically matched manner. SOLUTION: Allodynia is induced by a step for infecting a specific part of a rodent with herpes virus to form zoster and a step for rubbing the formed zoster site with a painting brush. Clinically matched zoster-relating pain can be reproduced on a rodent by the method. The evaluation method for a compound to use the inducing method is useful as a tool for the development of preventing/treating agents for zoster-relating pain. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
