The screw tip (3) inner section (4) is designed as a mixing section (4) comprising axial and radial grooves (5) formed into the inner section. A shearing section is located at the tip of the screw, before and/or after the mixing section. The external diameter of the stop ring (1) is at most 1.5 mm less than that of the cylinder, hence the stop ring acts as a shear-promoting component. The difference between the internal diameter of the shear ring and the external diameter of the mixing section is preferably 0.2 mm. The screw tip is chamfered.
