<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a purchase amount in a retail store, and to be more specific, to stimulate purchasing in the retail store of a product from a product category not normally purchased by a consumer in the retail store, but having a possibility of purchasing from product categories. <P>SOLUTION: Customers are determined with a purchase amount of zero or less than a predicted amount in a product category with respect to product purchase history data in regard to purchase of customers in a particular retail store or chain of retail stores. Predictive modeling of the product purchase history data is provided for determining a product in a product category with respect to a target market with respect to the customers in the retail store, and optionally for predicting a possibility and a purchase amount by the customers in the product category. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
