<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric actuator and a fluid transfer device having proper energy efficiency which can give ample amount of deformation, even if the area of an electrode, arranged in between laminated piezoelectric sheets, is made small. <P>SOLUTION: A second part S having electrodes 24,25 is arranged in both sides of a part (first part F) of the piezoelectric actuator 50, corresponding to the center of a pressure chamber 16, the electrodes 24,25 of the second part S are positioned at side at a distant from the pressure chamber 16 in a thickness direction. When a voltage is applied to between the electrodes 24,25, piezoelectric sheets 54 to 56 put between the electrodes contract in a surface direction with the second part S curved upward. In accompanying this, the first part F is pushed upward and becomes curved, with the lower side becoming a recess and widens the capacity of the pressure chamber 16. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
