PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a device which is AV equipment capable of responding to a plurality of kinds of input/output interfaces and reducing user setting operations in dubbing. SOLUTION: In the equipment capable of setting video and sound formats in a plurality of output interfaces, respectively, no switching of the video and sound formats is generated even when connection or non-connection of external equipment is detected during the dubbing to correctly record video and sound signals in the dubbing by switching formats to a video and sound formats to which the plurality of output interfaces can respond before starting the dubbing and returning the formats to the video and sound formats before starting the dubbing after the dubbing.
