PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic photoreceptor in which an increase in a potential of an exposed portion is small and favorable picture with sufficient image density and no fog can be obtained upon forming an image at a high process speed in a short Ted (an interval time between exposure and development), and to provide an image forming method, an image forming apparatus and a process cartridge using the above organic photoreceptor. SOLUTION: The organic photoreceptor has a photosensitive layer on a conductive support and is characterized in that the photosensitive layer contains a charge generating substance and a charge transporting substance and that at least one of the charge transporting substance is a compound having stereoisomers in which the content of trans-trans isomers is 95.0 to 100.0%.
