PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camshaft enabling accurate positioning of a shaft and a cam lobe without increasing number of kinds of components. SOLUTION: One of cam lobe 20 out of four cam lobes 20 is moved in an axial direction under a condition where a projection part 24 thereof and an oil groove part 11 of a shaft 10 engage, and the cam lobe 20 is rotated in an extension direction of a circumference groove part 12 (counterclockwise) when the projection part 24 reaches a position of one end of one circumference groove part 12 out of circumference grooves 12A, 12B, 12C, 12D. Then, the cam lobe 20 rotates counterclockwise under a condition where the projection part 24 and the circumference groove part 12 engage, and rotation is regulated when the projection part 24 reaches an engagement part 14 of the circumference groove part 12. Consequently, each cam lobe 20 is arranged at a predetermined position in the axial direction of the shaft 10 respectively and is accurately positioned with slippage of predetermined angle in circumference direction.
